Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner, casual runner or training for your first 5K, we have a race for you. On Saturday, October 14 we kick off our weekend of races with the American Home Fitness 5K and Meijer Kids Fun Run. Then on Sunday, October 15 the Full Marathon, International Half-Marathon and Marathon Relay kick off our international events. The U.S.-Only Half-Marathon starts shortly after and rounds out our events.

Our legacy event, the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, is a top 10 U.S. marathon and has become an annual celebration of fitness and fun this October. The race has 300,000 spectators, 5,000 volunteers, more than 25 entertainers and Cheer Zones, plus a "27th Mile" filled with post-race activities.
In the Medtronic TC 10 Mile, runners take on the 5th largest 10 mile race, also known as the Shortcut to the Capitol®, because participants are able to follow the last seven spectator-lined miles of the marathon route. The participant field limit fills by online drawing in July.
First run in 1970, the Deseret News Marathon is the oldest road race in Utah and the 4th oldest marathon west of the continental divide. The marathon follows the path the Utah pioneers traveled when they first entered the valley. This event is truly a part of Utah’s heritage!
Since our initial race in 1977, Grandma’s Marathon has grown bigger than just a 26.2 mile race along the scenic North Shore of Minnesota.

Registration for the 2017 Grandma’s Marathon, Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and William A. Irvin 5K opens at 10 a.m. October 1, 2016.
